A beautifully timeworn French commode with three generous drawers, a decorative shaped apron and remnants of ornate brass escutcheons. The dry-scraped finish reveals layers of old paint and warm wood beneath, giving the piece a wonderfully aged character. New unlacquered brass pulls have been added, while the many visible holes from previous hardware remain as part of the commode’s history.
Dimensions:
43.75" L x 22.75" D x 34.25" H
Good antique condition with extensive surface wear, paint loss, old marks and cracks. Numerous holes from previous drawer hardware are visible throughout.
