Large Antique English Pine Housekeeper’s Cupboard | Circa 1890

$5,200.00

A substantial English pine housekeeper’s cupboard, dating to circa 1890. Beautifully constructed with two sets of paneled doors, a molded cornice, and generous interior shelving throughout. The warm, honey-toned pine retains a lovely aged patina, with abundant character and evidence of its long history.

Its impressive scale and exceptional storage make it an especially versatile piece for a kitchen, dining room, library, or utility space. A handsome and highly functional example of late-19th-century English pine furniture.

Note: many pieces of this type and size come apart in two pieces. This piece does not. It is one, solid piece.

Dimensions:
62” L × 14.5” D × 84” H

Very good antique condition with expected age-related wear throughout, including surface marks, small losses, discoloration, and areas of old finish wear. The interior shelves show particularly lovely signs of age and use. Some doors have minor warping consistent with age, but all doors open and close properly. The original hardware and escutcheons add to the piece’s character. Overall, sturdy and functional with an authentic, beautifully aged surface.
